Per HOA Elections, the Association is still more than a 100 ballots short to host this year’s Annual Meeting/Election.
Please turn in your ballot at the upcoming meeting on August 15th. Polls will open at 5:30 PM and meeting will begin at 6:00 PM. Don’t forget!!! There is a raffle for a gift card if the Association receives quorum.
Please note, that not achieving quorum could cost the Association additional money by requiring mail outs and the cost of an adjourn meeting.

The annual election for Board of Directors is underway. If you have not yet sent in your ballot, please do so. Details of the meeting are outlined below.
The Lakes Community Association
When: Thursday, August 15, 2019
Where: The Community Event Center, 30416 Laguna Vista, Menifee, CA 92584
Time: Polls will open at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be called to order at approximately 6:00 p.m.
Purpose: For the members to elect five (5) directors to the Board.
Quorum: 25% of the voting power (253 out of 1011, as of the record date of July 8, 2019) must return their Irrevocable Secret Ballots or be present in person at the meeting in order for the Annual Meeting to be held. Please note, the quorum requirement has been revised to accommodate additional members who closed escrow by the record date; increasing membership of the community. Quorum is subject to change based on members’ eligibility. Should quorum be reached, there will be a random drawing at the meeting of valid return ballot envelopes to award one $50 gift card.
Election packets were mailed to you on July 12, 2019. If you have not received your packet, you can request a new election packet by completing our online affidavit for replacement ballot form at HOA Elections of California.com. Please use the following link: https://hoaelections.net/need-a-replacement-ballot. Please fill it out in its entirety and submit. A new packet will be promptly mailed to you.
Please note, the management office will not be accepting ballots; you must mail your ballot as directed in the election materials, or bring your completed ballot, properly sealed in the double envelopes provided, to the meeting during the open polling period beginning at 5:30 p.m. Do not forget to sign your outer envelope!
Deadline before the Annual Meeting
Mailed ballots to HOA Elections’ office must be received no later than: Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. Please note, you must mail your ballots or deliver them the night of the meeting to HOA Elections only. DO NOT drop off ballots at the management office.
Deadline the day of the Annual Meeting
Whether voting at the meeting or dropping off your ballot at the meeting, final ballots must be received to HOA Elections no later than: Thursday, August 15, 2019, at 6:00 p.m.
All ballots delivered to the Inspector of Election by the deadline will be kept with the Inspector and brought to the Annual Meeting or any adjournment thereof.
You can view the ballot count for your community at www.myhoavote.com, select your community “The Lakes”. Ballot counts are updated daily.
